Honestly, its a taste of paradise.... - We stayed the weekend at Inkwazi - Ingwe cottage in this private reserve. Goodness this was a lovely experience. This lodge was truly luxurious (ok we're in a game reserve... read more but its near 5 stars regardless in my opinion!) Nothing like taking a (hot!) shower looking out into the landscape, for me! We had everything we needed and a very very comfortable bed. OK we are in the bush but we loved all the monkeys and other animals around. The stars at night and the sunsets - both utterly memorable. Our hosts were more than welcoming and we felt immediately like we were with friends. The staff were so cheerful and helpful (we are not used to staff so someone else doign the washing up was quite a treat!) and the gift of fresh home made muffins in the morning was particularly welcome! Do the game drive. We were incredibly lucky and caught sight of a leopard at dusk. A boat trip is also a must, to get up close and personal to hippos etc. Just one note, we had to leave our fresh meat at the Eswatini border due to Foot and Mouth, but hey its the farmers who are really suffering not us. The border crossing was otherwise fast and easy. All in all, a lifetime experience.

The... read more place is self catering and the kitchen is very well equipped with all manners of pans, pots and cooking utensils. There is a housekeeper who will take care of your cleaning up after meal as well as the room. Laundry service is also available for a fee.

View of the porch to the riverfront is fantastic during sunset. There are logging chairs and sofas to enjoy the view outdoors and is safe to do so.

Plenty of game, sights and sound to when we took the game drive and boat tour.

  Bush Bliss - Bushwillow Lodge at Royal Jozini was the perfect combination of bush seclusion with modern amenities. The views from the plunge pool watching the sun set was something special!

  We loved our time at Royal Jozini Private Game Reserve, the accomodation, the wildlife, the fishing was simply unbeatable. The place reminds me so much of a Lake Kariba experience... read more right here on our doorstep. The staff could not have been more attentive and helpful and having the elephants come and visit us at the lodge was a real highlight.
